Holly’s story

Holly is an artist who recently joined a community of artists in a space where they can work as well as show and sell their art. Through this community, Holly met another artist, Hilda, who lives near her.  The two began carpooling together about once a week.

Since the drive time is 45 minutes, Holly and Hilda have plenty of time to talk.  Because of her Anna’s Circle training, Holly has become more intentional about sharing her faith. She began praying for Hilda, and that she would become more aware of the Holy Spirit’s promptings. Holly has had several opportunities to talk to Hilda about spiritual things.

One time Hilda brought up the subject of faith and Holly was able to share her Gospel story.  Holly learned that Hilda grew up Catholic and being divorced has created internal conflict and shame. Holly shared God’s grace and how we cannot earn God’s love or salvation.  It’s not a matter of doing good things so that good things will happen to us. Hilda isn’t ready to attend a Discovery Bible study yet, but Holly trusts God will continue to give her opportunities to talk with Hilda about Jesus.
